By the end of this experience, you'll become an expert on Kentucky's renowned drink - the Mint Julep! You can proudly tell your friends that you graduated from Mint Julep University at the Kentucky Derby Museum. But don't expect a typical college lecture. You'll learn how to craft a Mint Julep and, naturally, enjoy drinking it as well. (Cheers!) Discover the ingredients that compose a julep, learn why we "slap" the mint (yes, it's a real thing), and delve into the history of how this beverage became the iconic drink of the Kentucky Derby.
