Bourbon News: Bulleit® Distillery Unveils First Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon

In the contemporary landscape, Bottled-in-Bond designations typically distinguish non-distiller producers from distillers who craft their own products, with certain rare exceptions. This latest offering from Bulleit® is a 7-year Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, distilled at their own facility in the spring of 2017. This development signifies a shift from a combination of sourced and internally distilled Bourbon to a product that is entirely distilled in-house.
Bulleit Bourbons are crafted using two high rye mash bills and five yeast strains, thus providing blenders with ten distinct flavor profiles to utilize in their blends.
Bulleit’s® American Single Malt and Rye whiskeys are still produced elsewhere, but this release suggests that Bulleit’s® Bourbon will be made entirely in-house in the future.

Tasting Notes
Bulleit® Bottled in Bond is spicy and fruity on the nose. On the palate, it has notes of lightly toasted oak, maple and nutmeg, with a sweet butterscotch finish.
